Poster: Spyro 2010 - Game On

...guess what I've been doing all week.

There was a purpose for the floating heads in my sketch dumps, not just for the sake of doodling. Now the imagined poster I've always wanted to create is a reality: Goodies against Baddies. WHO WILL WIN? >8D

Even back in the day, I've always wanted this kind of face-off with these specific characters. Spyro vs. Red and Bianca vs. Sor can be obviously explained, since it's dragon against dragon, and sorceress-in-training against sorceress. For the other two face-offs,

Elora vs. Ripto - I imagine Elora using some orbs of her own against him. She can't be defenseless all the time, nor would I think she'd want to.
Hunter vs. Gnasty - Just flaming the gnorc behind his back (and rear-end) seems too easy to me. It'd be much more amusing for both of these weapon-wielding characters to duke it out; even if Hunter might be in over his head.

SOOO yeah, I got around to drawing my eight favorite characters before the year ended. More amateur paint jobs, but the end result was worth all the work. Plus the self-made Spyro logo.

I realize now why I've been on this Spyro-crave lately: inspired by the game Epic Mickey, as long as there are classic fans out there remembering and reminding developers which arc we prefer, there's always a chance of the old coming back. It's obvious developers are only milking the new series as the cash cow that it is, so I feel like it's up to us to make something better out of the old that they missed.

...Yeah, kinda sad. But whatever. I need a break from photoshop for a bit. @_@
